Clear Lake Area Community Center (CLACC) is grateful to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary Post 5828 for a donation of $1,500. The donation is being used to increase security and safety at the facility. The gift was used to purchase and install additional video surveillance cameras in the halls and other common areas used by the public. Wi-Fi capabilities have been expanded to support the cameras.
In addition, some locks are being re-keyed to ensure that duplicate keys are not being used for unauthorized entry within the building. Certain office procedures at CLACC have been modified to strengthen building security and occupant safety as well.
The donation received by CLACC is only one of many examples of the strong commitment shared by the VFW Auxiliary and VFW Post 5828 to serve their local communities.
VFW Auxiliary and VFW Post 5828 meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm in Rooms 122 (Auxiliary) and 123 (VFW Post 5828) of the Clear Lake Area Community Center.
