A fantastic group of Clear Lake High School students, led by their supervisor Mrs. Smetna, rolled up their sleeves and got to work at the Clear Lake Area Community Center for their CLHS Earth Day Service Learning Project.

Over the course of three hours, these students worked with enthusiasm, energy, and a real sense of purpose. From cleaning, organizing, and relocating heavy items, they accomplished far more than we ever could have hoped for. Their positive attitudes and willingness to jump into any task made a huge difference, and their hard work left the community center looking better than ever.
Through their actions, these students demonstrated exactly why Clear Lake High School is known for having some of the best students and staff anywhere. Their commitment, teamwork, and generosity are a true reflection of the bright future our community has ahead.
A heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to Mrs. Smetna and each student who gave their time and energy so selflessly. Your efforts did not go unnoticed—you made this Earth Day not just about celebrating the planet, but about making a real difference right here at home.
This fantastic group of young adults and their supervisor, Mrs. Smetna, worked enthusiastically and tirelessly for three hours and accomplished far more than we could have hoped for.
