The Clear Lake Area Community Center (CLACC) is grateful to the family of Mark Tellijohn for their donation of $2,000 in remembrance of Mark.
Mark met his wife Kristie (Hansen) during their high school days. They attended high school in the building that closed its doors as a school in 1996 and then became the Clear Lake Area Community Center. They both graduated from Clear Lake High School in the Class of 1973. Kristie said they had good memories of their school days. Mark was active in sports including track, football and basketball during his high school days. Sometime after graduation, Mark became a life-long dairy farmer on his farm near Forest.
CLACC will use the donation from the Tellijohn family for electrical upgrades. The community center currently has a list of many capital improvement projects for the 103-year old building. In addition to electrical upgrades, the center is planning a roof replacement on another section of the facility, HVAC upgrades, Event Center changes, window replacements, commercial kitchen improvements, and much more.
The gift from Kristie Tellijohn and her family is not only timely but also very much appreciated by CLACC. If you would like to help preserve this cherished building, contact Tim Wyss, CLACC Board President or any Board member. Contact information: 715-263-2233 or claccorg@gmail.com
