CLACC Fall Harvest Senior Luncheon Planned for October 24

By Muriel Nelson

The Clear Lake Area Community Center (CLACC) invites you to the CLACC Fall Harvest Senior Luncheon on Thursday, October 24 at noon in the community center Dining Room. The menu, created by Joan Lillie, will be ideal for the luncheon theme (can you guess what it will be?). Once again a free will donation is optional. Also, please call your reservation to 715-263-2233 by Monday, October 21.

Please note: We have scheduled a free special community education training session after the Fall Harvest Luncheon. The course is Safe Banking for Seniors and will be held in the community center dining room.  Julie Powell and Lisa Lyon of Pillar Bank will be leading the discussion on how seniors can recognize and reduce the risk of fraud and financial exploitation. They will also present ways to guard against identity theft. These topics are so important for everyone and especially for seniors. Registration is not required.

Bingo is also being offered at approximately 1 p.m., or after the luncheon concludes. The location for the Bingo game will be announced at the luncheon.

Also, please mark your calendar for the Senior Christmas Luncheon on December 5. It will be here before you know!

Note: Bingo (100% payback) is being offered at CLACC the second Tuesday of every month (November 12 and December 10) at 1 p.m. in the dining room. Bingo is also offered after senior luncheons. The objective of the game is to get together with fellow seniors and enjoy a couple hours of fun.
