The Clear Lake Area Community Center (CLACC) hosted its "Cabin Fever" Senior Luncheon on Thursday, February 27, 2025, bringing together community members for great food, fun, and friendship in the Dining Room. Attendees reserved their spots in advance, with a free-will donation as an optional contribution.

The next senior luncheon will be Thurs. April 24, 2025, at Noon, RSVP by calling 715-263-2233 no later than the Monday before the luncheon.

This luncheon featured special activities to engage participants. Before lunch, guests learned about how local school students were contributing to Clear Lake’s Sesquicentennial (150th) Celebration in June and how they could get involved.

Following another delicious meal prepared by volunteer caterer Joan Lillie, two afternoon activities were offered:

  • At 1 PM, the Clear Lake Public Library and Community Education hosted a free community education session. Makenzie Gustafson, a Dementia Care Specialist from ADRC, provided valuable insights into supporting individuals living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, along with a brief memory screening opportunity.

  • Bingo was also held after lunch, offering a 100% payback game designed for social enjoyment. Attendees were reminded that in 2025, Bingo would take place on the second Tuesday of each month in the Dining Room, in addition to post-luncheon sessions.

CLACC also announced that the luncheon schedule for the remainder of 2025 would be published soon. The event was a wonderful way to kick off the year’s gatherings, bringing warmth and camaraderie to all who attended!

Enjoying a delicious meal and friendship.
