CLACC AWARDED WITH GRANT FROM GREEN BAY PACKERS FOUNDATION

December 17, 2025

## FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ##

The Clear Lake Area Community Center (CLACC), in Clear Lake, Wis., announced today that it has been awarded a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation as part of the Foundation’s annual grant cycle.

These grant funds will be used as part of a major upgrade of the Event Center’s performance infrastructure. Known as Project Center Stage: The Future of Performing Arts at CLACC, improvements include replacing the existing stationary stage with a modular, portable stage system that allows for flexible configurations suitable for large-scale productions, theatrical performances, concerts, and live entertainment. In addition, a sound system will be installed to provide clear, balanced audio throughout the space, along with programmable stage lighting capable of illuminating full ensembles or highlighting individual performers. Together, these enhancements will create a versatile, high-quality performance environment that meets the technical needs of plays, musicals, and major community events while elevating the experience for both performers and audiences.

For years, the local school district has wanted to offer a drama club, but without a suitable place to perform, students had no stage to call their own. This generous grant from our favorite pro-football team will help change that—transforming the Event Center into a venue where talent and hard work finally takes center stage.

In addition to students, Project Center Stage will allow more performances right here at home—by community theater, ballet and classical dance groups, and local organizations—without families needing to travel or face financial barriers. People of all ages will be able to see, hear, and fully enjoy performances in a space designed to uplift creativity and connection. This project reflects what CLACC stands for: supporting the arts, honoring community needs, and ensuring that everyone has access to meaningful cultural experiences.

CLACC’s vision for the performing arts was formally recognized on Wednesday, December 17, when the organization joined hundreds of other Wisconsin nonprofits at a grant-award luncheon held at Lambeau Field.

The Green Bay Packers Foundation issues grants each year to nonprofit organizations throughout the state of Wisconsin. This year, the Foundation focused on awarding grants to organizations that will use the funds for programs or projects that address animal welfare, health and wellness, including drug, alcohol and domestic violence, civic and community initiatives and environmental causes.

This year, in its distribution of annual grants, the Foundation awarded $1.5 million to 398 civic and charitable groups throughout the state of Wisconsin. With these disbursements, the Foundation has distributed more than $25.7 million for charitable purposes since it was established in 1986.

All grant applications are reviewed by the Green Bay Packers Foundation Trustees. More information about the Packers Foundation and the annual grants process is available at packers.com/foundation

The Green Bay Packers Foundation’s generous investment represents a major step forward; however, additional funding is still needed. CLACC must raise approximately $25,000 to complete Project Center Stage. Community members, local businesses, and supporters of the arts are invited to be part of this transformation by contributing to the final phase of the project. Every gift—large or small—helps bring high-quality performances, student productions, and community events to life right here in Clear Lake. Together, we can build a new centerpiece for creativity, connection, and celebration in our community.

About CLACC: An entirely volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CLACC serves Clear Lake and the surrounding area, spanning four counties, as a hub for community life, nonprofit services, and local businesses.

Since 1999, CLACC has been located in the former Clear Lake Union Free High School, built in 1922. It offers affordable space to nonprofits, service organizations, clubs, and small start-up businesses. The center also provides flexible spaces for community theater, senior activities, meetings, classes, and public and private events.

By working closely with its tenants, local organizations, and the school district, CLACC brings people together. These partnerships strengthen regional connections and improve quality of life for residents in Polk, Barron, St. Croix, and Dunn counties.

About the Green Bay Packers Foundation: The Green Bay Packers Foundation annual grant program is part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, the Packers’ all-encompassing community outreach initiative. Packers Give Back includes the Foundation’s annual and impact grants, appearances by players, alumni, coaches and staff, cash and in-kind donations, community events, Make-A-Wish visits, football outreach and much more. These efforts contribute to a comprehensive Packers charity impact that was in excess of $13 million last year.
